Strategy fans just got a new way to potentially get their hands on StarCraft II before anyone else. Blizzard announced that the beta testing period for StarCraft II will be coming soon, and Battle.Net account holders will have a chance to participate in the test as soon as it becomes available. To be considered for the beta, players need to either create a new Battle.Net account, or go to the Beta Profile settings page in their pre-existing Battle.net account management settings. Once there, you’ll have to select the “opt-in” option to send your system specs to Blizzard and potentially give yourself a chance to be invited to the beta. This is a completely new process, so if you have opted in for previous betas, you’ll have to complete the process again and upload current system specs to potentially be invited to this beta.
